Phuong Thy Nguyen is an undergraduate researcher working on BasedMIP and a member of Davis Data Driven Change (D3C), a student-led data justice organization at UC Davis. Nguyen is majoring in Data Science and Communication, and is also a social media intern with Student Housing and Dining at UCD. In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar and thrifting.

Nguyen is a recipient of the James and Leta Fulmor Scholarship, the most prestigious merit-based award offered to entering first-year students in the College of Letters and Science at UC Davis.
