Bio

Myroslava Rose Fisun is a third-year undergraduate researcher at UC Berkeley, where since Spring of 2024, she has lead and facilitated a DeCal class called "Climate Change in Media." She is currently co-President of the Berkeley Legal Studies Association and has been the Lead Student Researcher of the SDG Undergraduate Research Group since 2023. From 2022-24, Fisun served as a member and committee chair of the City of Albany's Climate Action Committee, and also served as the DEI working group co-chair with the National Ocean Protection Coalition from 2023-2024, and has worked with the Sunrise Movement and EarthEcho International.

Fisun is currently interning with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, volunteering at UC Berkeley's Basic Needs Center, and serving as an Alternative Breaks leader for the Public Service Center where she is co-leading a service learning trip on environmental and food justice in Oakland. She is also a competitive figure skater and recently spent her summer taking care of alligators, skunks, racoons, bison, and more! Myroslava is a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar, an Alumni Leadership Award recipient, a Finalist for COX conserves, and is an Internal Peter E. Haas Public Service Leader, while maintaining her standing on the Dean's List and Honors list.
